The control for this is on the right-hand stalk. To use it, push it towards the dashboard and hold it to wash the rear windscreen. The rear wiper turns on automatically. Let go to stop the washer.
The control for this is on the same stalk as the rear windscreen washer. Pull it towards the steering wheel to squirt the washer. Only use it when safe; the wipers may activate automatically.
Turn the switch once to the left for dipped headlights. The dashboard symbol shows they’re on. Turn them off when finished.
Switch on the rear demister button to activate the rear demister.
Operate the horn by pressing the centre of the steering wheel.
Set all relevant controls including fan speed, temperature, air direction/source, and heated screen to clear the front windscreen.
Operate the switch to open and close the side window safely.

Brakes should not feel spongy or slack. Test brakes as you set off. Vehicle should not pull to one side.
Manufacturer’s guide, use a reliable pressure gauge, check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold. Don’t forget the spare tyre, and refit valve caps.
Adjust so the rigid part is at least as high as the eyes or top of ears, and as close to the back of the head as comfortable. Some restraints may not be adjustable.
No cuts or bulges. Minimum 1.6mm tread depth across central three-quarters of the tyre, around the entire circumference.

Operate the brake pedal, use reflections in windows or doors, or ask someone to help.
If steering feels heavy, the system may not be working. Gentle pressure on the wheel while starting the engine should result in slight movement. Alternatively, turning the wheel just after moving off gives an indication that power assistance is functioning.
Operate switch (dipped headlights and ignition if needed). Check warning light. Use fog lights when visibility is 100 meters or less.

Identify dipstick/oil level indicator. Check oil level against minimum and maximum markers.
Identify high and low markings on header tank or radiator filler cap. Top up to correct level if needed.
Identify reservoir and check fluid level against high and low markings.
